About Spin the Wheel

The spinning wheel is the fastest way to settle a choice when everyone's arguing. Type one option per line — dinner spots, chores, prize slots, student names — and give the wheel a spin. It uses your browser's cryptographic random generator, so every slice has a genuinely fair shot.

Turn on remove winner after spin for elimination rounds, add x3 after an entry to make it three times more likely, and go fullscreen for the classroom or a stream. Your wheels save on your device, so they're still here next time.

How to use it

  1. Type each choice on its own line in the box.
  2. Optionally add x2, x3… after an entry to weight it.
  3. Press SPIN (or click the wheel) and wait for the pointer.
  4. Toggle remove winner to knock out choices as you go.

Frequently asked questions

Is the spinning wheel really random?

Yes. It uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's cryptographically secure random source, rather than the predictable Math.random. Every slice is weighted only by the size you give it.

Can I make one option more likely to win?

Add x and a number after the entry — for example Pizza x3 makes Pizza three times as likely — then switch on the weighting toggle.

Do my wheels get saved?

Your current wheel is stored in your own browser (local storage). Nothing is uploaded to a server, and it will still be there when you come back on the same device.
